Mentoring Service

Our Mentoring Service encompasses schemes such as our new Step Forward programme, and aims to give young people the help they need and deserve to move forward into employment.

Our employment mentors work with candidates on a one-to-one basis, helping to identify and overcome barriers to work, working on confidence issues, identifying skills, helping to locate relevant job opportunities and providing assistance with CV writing, interview techniques and mock interviews.  They can also refer candidates on to other services for help and advice on specific issues.

Our programmes are about putting people back in control of their own futures, working with mentors who care and want to make a difference.

We're currently funded to offer our mentoring schemes in different areas:

South Norfolk 'Step Forward' scheme

This scheme is for 16-24 year olds living in South Norfolk or Broadland districts.  You do not need to be on Universal Credit (UC) or registered with the Job Centre or other service provider.  (Although you can be)

Referrals 

All referrals for this service are made through this online form. You can refer yourself, or a provider can refer you.

Poster

If you want to promote the Step Forward programme in your area, you can access a digital poster here.  (PDF can be attached, printed etc)

King's Lynn and West Norfolk - 'Boost' scheme

Our scheme for 16-24 year olds in King's Lynn and West Norfolk are referred directly through local Job Centres or other provisions.

Referrals

Universal Credit claimants in these areas can ask their work coach for a referral.  If you're not with the Job Centre but would like to be referred for Boost, get in touch with us for more information at dyh@themasontrust.org
